Supplies you'll need
Some stuff you already have, some you can get in town, and some you'll have to send for. Shown below is a nice-to-have, but not entirely necessary collection of tools. You don't have to have a light table or tweasers, but it helps.
Supplies for capturing the image
- A 35mm camera
- A roll of 36 exposure slide film
- A 6" or 12" ruler
- A tape measure
- A bubble level
Supplies for mounting and viewing the slides
- A Radex slide viewer
- A handful of stereo slide mounts
- A pair of scissors
- A roll of Scotch tape
Where to send for the Viewer and Slide Mounts
Get one Radex plastic viewer (the one pictured above) and a small order of European or Realist mounts and a package of the cardboard Universal Foldover. You have several suppliers to choose from. While you're at it, ask for their catalogs.
